Not all bamboo sheets are equal. A few checks before you buy save you from the most common disappointments — the wrong size, a thin weave, or a “set” that’s missing pieces. Here’s what matters.
1. What the fabric is actually made of. Look for 100% bamboo fiber, not a bamboo-cotton or bamboo-polyester blend. A blend dilutes exactly the breathability and softness you’re paying for. Our sets are 100% natural bamboo.
2. Weave and thread count. “Sateen” is a weave; it gives bamboo its smooth, fluid feel. For bamboo, a 300-thread sateen weave is the sweet spot — soft and durable without weighing the fabric down. A far higher number isn’t better; it reduces breathability.
3. Certification. Look for an independent standard like OEKO-TEX, which tests the finished fabric for harmful substances — rather than just the word “natural” on the label. Naturez fabric is OEKO-TEX certified.
4. The right size — once and for all. The wrong size is the number-one cause of bedding disappointment. Measure your mattress (width × length × height, including any protector) before ordering.
- Twin (single): fitted sheet 93×206 cm, 35 cm pocket
- Queen (standard double): fitted sheet 165×206 cm, 35 cm pocket
- King (wide double): fitted sheet 206×206 cm, 35 cm pocket
- Split King (adjustable beds): two fitted sheets, 103×206 cm each
A 35 cm pocket fits tall mattresses and toppers. For an adjustable bed, split king is essential — two separate sheets that move with each side.
5. What you get in the set — and why it matters. A full set saves you from piecing bedding together: fitted sheet, pillowcases, and duvet cover in the same fabric, density, and shade. Always check what’s included — many cheap sets arrive without a duvet cover.
Common questions
Which size fits a standard double bed in Israel? Usually queen. If your mattress is wider than 180 cm, move up to king.
Is 300 thread count enough? For bamboo, yes — and it’s not a compromise. The bamboo fiber is naturally fine and smooth, so 300 threads give a feel cotton only reaches at much higher counts.
How do I know bamboo is genuine? Look for standards (like OEKO-TEX) rather than just the word “organic” in the title.
