Bamboo sheets are easy to care for — they just don’t like high heat. Get the temperature right and they’ll stay soft and hold their color for years. Here’s everything you need.
Washing. Cold or lukewarm water (up to 30°C), gentle cycle, mild detergent, no bleach. High heat shrinks the fibers and dulls the softness. Skip fabric softener — it coats the natural fibers and works against them.
Drying. Line drying in the shade is best. If you must use a dryer, use the lowest heat setting and take the sheets out the moment it finishes. Direct sun and high heat are the fastest way to shorten a set’s life.
Storage between seasons. Bamboo likes air. Store sheets folded in a ventilated cupboard, not in vacuum bags — prolonged compression breaks down the fibers. A small tip: store the set inside one of its own pillowcases — tidy, protected, and easy to find.
Stains. Act fast and gently: cold water and mild soap directly on the spot, no hard scrubbing and no bleach. Whitening agents destroy the natural fiber.
How many sets should a bed have? At least two. That way each set rests between washes, airs out fully, and wears at half the pace.
Common questions
Do bamboo sheets shrink? A little, and it’s expected — which is why Naturez sets are sewn with a few extra centimeters built in, so the fit sits right after natural shrinkage.
How often should I change my sheets? Weekly is a good rhythm for most homes. If you sweat at night or sleep with pets, every 4–5 days.
Can I iron them? No need. Smooth them as you make the bed; the sateen weave settles on its own.
